Different letters indicate treatments were significantly different based on Fisher's protected LSD (P<0.05). Mean separation based on pooled ANOVA is not indicated in I and II because soil nitrogen supply (available and mineralized nitrogen) parameters had significant date x treatment interactions; however, the appropriately calculated LSDs would distinguish between the animal-based and conventional treatment.
