Logical Framework ("logframe")
A logframe provides an overview of the entire project in terms of expected outcomes, how they fit together and how they are measured. A logframe doesnt necessarily call for information not already in the body of the proposal, it is just a logical and concise layout of the main elements of project implementation. Its length should be between 1 and 3 pages and should follow the format given in this template.

Logframe Example below.
Logframe Template
Intervention logic |
Indicators Target benchmarks used to assess progress toward an outcome. Should be quantitative and refer to dates when possible. |
Means of verification How progress toward an indicator is measured. |
| Super
Goal (1) The mission or a part of the mission of the BIFS program |
||
| Long-term
goal (2) A single desired outcome that is achievable by the projects end. |
||
| Short-term
goal(s) The desired outcomes that can be achieved once the outputs are generated. If there are two or more short-term goals, they should be numbered so that activities and outputs can be associated with a specific short-term goal. |
||
| Outputs The concrete products generated by the activities.
|
||
| Activities The actual activities that the project will carry out. Details will be in the proposal text.
|
[Successful
implementation of activities is measured by indicators and means of verification from the Output section above..] |

(1) The Super Goal may only be reached after projects end. Individual projects are not responsible for ensuring success at this level.
(2) Only one long-term goal should be identified and it should be achievable by the project's end. Individual projects are responsible for achieving a measurable impact at this level.

The example below is an incomplete and hypothetical logframe; its purpose is simply to illustrate the underlying logic of the logframe.
