Faculty members and other educators interested in teaching sustainable agriculture at the university, college and community college level will be participating in a two-day workshop Mar. 26-27 focused on innovative teaching strategies, the use of distance learning technologies, and unique lab experiments at California State University,Chico, sponsored by that campus’ College of Agriculture and the UC Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program (SAREP).

Participants will have the opportunity to meet with colleagues to share ideas, resources and teaching tools that are being used successfully in the field and classroom, according to David Chaney, SAREP education coordinator.

"We’re seeing more sustainable ag educators making the connections between their subject, the environment, and other issues of increasing interest to students," says Chaney.
