The joint annual meeting of the Agriculture, Food and Human Values Society and the Association for the Study of Food and Society will bring together two multidisciplinary professional and scholarly societies in San Francisco, Calif. June 4-7, 1998. The groups will discuss contemporary issues relating to food, dietary and nutritional behaviors; food and agricultural practices; ethical and values issues in food and agriculture; public policies toward food and agriculture; and the history, philosophy, social institutions and values that underlie them. Papers, posters and panels are sought on any topic relating to agriculture, food and society (deadline March 1, 1998).
